Part 2 Hamon was more creative than the powers of Part 3 Jotaro and his crew (who mostly just hit things very hard), so it felt like a downgrade for a while. The solution was giving the heroes access to versatile and creative Stand abilities.

There are so many moments I love in the anime, but here's a few of my favorites -Every single time Dio says "WRYYY," especially in Phantom Blood when there's a ton of bestial passion and spite behind it. -Screw it, Giorno's WRYYYs are pretty great too -Joseph smacking his head with his own clacker volley -D'Arby freaking the hell out when Jotaro tricks him through sheer poker face power -Jotaro stopping his own heart. Jesus, that was intense. -Josuke's face when the turtle in the first episode startles him with a splashing noise. I don't know why I love it, it's just adorable -Josuke vs. Rohan, when he's trying to think from the perspective of a manga protagonist and the screen shows the milliseconds passing in real time. Oh, and the "I win-" *gets dunked on* -Okuyasu basically adopting Stray Cat in the middle of an epic showdown -Giorno's first scene where he stops a woman from being totally robbed, finesses a few bills for himself, and then uses the money to buy a little kid gelato. Talk about a perfect introduction! -The entire Notorious B.I.G. fight -Last but certainly not least, all of the musical themes when a character dies. They hurt my soul in the best possible way.

You know, they seriously coulda approached Star Platinum: Over Heaven so much better with how it was introduced instead of it being the "same type stand" shit Another Jotaro from an alternative reality could have showed to up to take the place of Jotaro or give his stand some means of matching up to that of DIO Over Heaven, creating Star Platinum Over Heaven or a Star Platinum evolution. Is it still good? No, they basically wrote themselves into a corner. Is it better than just "same type stand" sorta deal? Yeah, because it would at least make some sense.

Hamon was reallly entertaining but there's not really any more Araki could do with it. I can't fathom a new fight that provides anything interesting. At least, not without adding something new, which would make it more complicated than it already is. I *say* that Araki can't keep Hamon interesting, but who am I to know? If it was me writing JoJo, I would have ran out of ideas for Stands after part 3.
