Most chain is cross cut which cuts great against the grain but not with the grain...milling chain is for with grain but not against grain...skip jack chain is combination with and against grain, but usually only available for bigger saws...perhaps it might be available for your saw, you will have to research it... Also after you sharpen chain teeth you have to file down the chain rakers just a little so the teeth cut the wood but don't dig in....research this.
